One of the best things about the La Côte region is its cultural wealth. The team from Les Hivernales always supports its colleagues, be it the Caribana Festival, the Paleo Festival, the Golden Festival or the Jval Festival! We don’t miss a single one. To all of you, dear Festivals, congratulations! Congratulations for your beautiful summer editions, congratulations for the atmosphere, your line-ups and your hospitality! We are delighted to have so many great festivals in the beautiful Nyon area. How lucky we are!
The hip-hop night was packed with the legend that is GZA and the young Jazzy Bazz, rising talent from the French Rap scene. The other two nights, almost full, delighted the audience with Kavinsky and the mesmerizing Ammar 808. And yes, all in Nyon, the choice was eclectic: Clement Bazin, Black Sea Dahu, Yael Miller, Bandit Travel, FlexFab, The Fine Team and many others, all seducing the festival-goers at the end of winter. Highlights of the tenth edition: the “sold out” was announced a few hours before the doors opened for the Friday Hip Hop party thanks to GZA / The Genius, Jazzy Bazz and Slum Village; the touching exchange between the young Nantais Degree and his audience at La Parenthese; the Kavinsky fans in a trance and in communion with the artist who didn’t want to stop; a trip to the east on Saturday evening with Acid Arab and Ammar 808; and an impressive mass of visitors every evening at the Village, in the presence of Hapax 21 and CCC collectives with their extraordinary international tournament of Chifoumi (Leaf-Cailloux-Scissors). “I realised a childhood dream by programming GZA / The Genius” says Jean Christophe Buob, programmer of the festival, “and what a great satisfaction to have gathered so many people at the Village every night!, exactly what we wanted; to gather the public in a festive and lively, central place!” It was a beautiful anniversary edition that ended with family at Nyon beach and promises great moments to come for the next edition that will take place from 27th February to 1st March 2020 to add to your diaries!
